Bus Ride Brrrrr!

July 27

Since we had messed up yesterday we had to go on the bus trip on a Saturday.  Everybody takes their entire family on the ferry to the wharf and sight seeing.  I never heard so many different languages in one place in my life!  We even had Peter Pan with a parrot on the ferry!   We get to the bus stop and the bus that hardly had any people on it was crowded.  We get seats up top. Now I have long pants and a hooded jacket on but Mr. Bruce decided all he needed was a short sleeve shirt and shorts.  Not good!  We start out and it was fairly warm.  Lots of traffic so the bus is going slow so no wind.

I loved the little shops along the streets.

This is the 1st topless bar.  This is in the Tenderloin area.
Just in case anyone needs directions.
This building is owned by Francis Ford Coppola.  Some of his production company is located here.  There is a cafe on the 1st floor.  This is where part of the God Father was written.

Magnolias were blooming
Guess where?
You got it Haight-Ashbury

I guess some things never change
Now if you notice the little bit sun we had is gone and the bus is going faster.  Needless to say there is a mass exodus to the bottom and Mr. Bruce is a Popsicle.  We head to the Golden Gate Bridge next.
We drive over the bridge and then head back to the wharf.  Now we are the last bus so we have to pick up all the people who have gotten off during the tour.  Talk about crowded!  We need to be back to catch the last ferry at 8:40.  By the time we get back it's 7:45 and we are starved so we hurry and find a place to get a quick bite.  Then hurry back to the ferry and stand in line to make sure we get a seat.  Bruce is turning blue by the time we get on.
Leaving San Francisco for Vallejo.  A very long day.  I am glad I came here but I don't need to come again.
