Las Vegas - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

August 11th - 16th

Today we headed downtown to the Golden Nugget.  What a change we had a major surprise when we saw the strip.  The casinos are huge.  Some of them take up several blocks.  We finally found our way downtown.  Went to Binions and the Golden Nugget.  When all is said and done I still like this area because you can go from Casino to Casino.  We left there and went to Bellagio for brunch.  Their Buffet was awesome.  However we found out that the days of eating cheap in Vegas are over.
We gambled awhile and headed back to the bus.  It is so hot here.  Over 100 degrees every day.  The next day we headed to the MGM Grand.  I did not care for it.  I think they were blowing some kind of potpourri through their air systems and it wasn't good.  I was lucky playing cards though.  By the time we got home I really did not feel well. The next day I told Bruce to go out by his self because the heat really made it hard for me to breath.  We finally decided to go to a Medpoint.  They checked my heart and lungs and had me get a CAT scan of my lungs.  Apparently I had a virus in my lungs.  They also gave me an antibiotic in case it was a bacteria infection and an inhaler.  By the next day I felt much better.  Bruce went to the pool.  The heat didn't seem to bother him. We went to the Luxor for awhile and then we  went to a dive for supper called the Naked City Pizza.  The sign on the side of the building saying Walk In Tattoos was a little off putting.  The food was good. Headed home and Bruce went to the Casino near us.  I went to bed.  The day we went back to that Casino.  It was real nice it had a Bass Pro Shop attached to it.  That was kind of strange.  The food was good.  Had a good time.  I think winter is a better time to go to Vegas.  The strip is so congested it takes forever to get anywhere.  I think I like the smaller Casinos better. Well I guess it is time to head east.

We got a Kenworth hauling logs (rhymes with hogs)

A Jesus bus
Another Kenworth hauling hay and the Big Bear Express heading to Party Town.  We got us a convoy.
Let Them Truckers Roll!!

LIFE IS A SONG!
